As you round the mark, you and another yacht are on a close hauled reach and closing fast. Who has the right of way? As you close, the wind gives you a puff and you're able to cross his bow, with only inches of room as you zoom by. You're on your way to the reaching mark and heading for a photo finish. The nearest boat behind you has closed and threatens to steal your wind, but the sound of the gun announces your victory as you sail across the finish line! This is the excitement you can expect with Fair Winds Yacht Club, the ultimate in interactive remote control sailboat racing. Our custom, hand-built, mahogany sailing yachts are an oversized 5 1/2 feet high by 3 feet long. They are a thrill to see in action, with the beautiful elegance of wood and high tech performance electronics and sail materials. Each of your guests will be provided a comfortable director's chair that matches their yacht's sail pattern, and will have state-of-the-art remote control transceivers for steering and sail control. We provide all the instruction necessary to enjoy hours of sailing and racing fun. We can accommodate the novice, to the advanced participant and will offer sailing education as well as racing tips. When all sailors are comfortable and confident, we will begin racing and finish the event with a championship regatta that offers the winners ribbons and bragging rights. The races provide hours of exhilarating and enjoyable action for any event. We provide a buoyed off perimeter for containment of the event, and all of the buoys necessary to create a racing course.
